But, a new twist on the age-old saying needs to be introduced…”you are what you sleep on.” Organic, eco-friendly clothing has become a popular trend, but organic bedding is close on its heels. In a world where slight environmental alterations can cause allergic reactions in people of all ages, it is good to know there is a safer alternative, particularly while we sleep! I was curious about the real benefits of organic bedding and came across this article from Natural Home and Garden which I am reposting as it is very informative.
Essentially it states that regular bedding is not too terrible from a toxin stand point which is nice to hear especially since we spend a lot of time in our beds. However, an eco friendly bed is still most definitely a healthier alternative making it an excellent choice for people with sensitivities. The earth benefits too in that pesticides used to create conventional cotton are not introduced into our soil and water.
