A prestigious audience of luxury real estate professionals from around the world convened at the Luxury Portfolio SUMMIT, February 24-26 at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. William Raveis Real Estate has been a member of Luxury Portfolio International® since it launched in 2005.

The event sold out, with a record attendance of more than 500 top real estate agents and brokers in attendance.   “It was great to network and hear insights from other luxury brokers across the world.  The SUMMIT offered some great energy and positive predictions going into the Spring market,” commented Zdru.

The program was designed to provide participants with insight into high-end consumer preferences and luxury lifestyle and housing trends, focusing on the state of the global luxury real estate sector. Speakers included television personality and author Joan Lunden, Pulitzer Prize-winning humor columnist and a bestselling author Dave Barry, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Mortgage Bankers Association Dave Stevens, Vice Chairman of Harrison Group Dr. Jim Taylor, real estate technology expert Matthew Ferrara, real estate authority Steve Harney, customer service expert Debbie Maier and home positioning specialist Martha Webb.  Also featured were numerous top-producing sales associates who shared their unique success strategies.

There was a discussion on the technology in the everyday lives of the young affluent (ages 18-47 that make up 51% of affluent home buyers in the next three years.)  The combined efforts of Luxury Portfolio International® and William Raveis, offer multi-platforms to reach the young affluent – the way they want to be reached. There was also a focus on appealing to the emotional association with a home.

“About 86% of people look at photos before they look for the details of the home. They want to envision themselves sitting in that living room or cooking in that kitchen – creating lasting memories and getting away from it all,” commented Leah Portale, global marketing coordinator for Exceptional Properties. “It is descriptive words like ‘move-in ready’ or ‘curb appeal’ that show more emotion than ‘good value.’ Describing the life you could have in that home or in that community will pull in those affluent consumers.”
