In April 2013, as compared to April 2012, the housing market in New England and New York pointed toward rising sale prices, with the average sale price increasing in each market. In Massachusetts, the average sale price increased 9.8% in April 2013 as compared to April 2012. Unit sales also increased in most markets, with a 24.4% increase in Westchester County, New York from April 2012 to April 2013. Time spent on the market dropped in most states, with Connecticut seeing a 10% decrease, dropping from 110 days in April 2012 to 99 days in April 2013.
