Autumn is less than month away, and while not everyone is counting down the final days of summer, fall is by far my favorite season. Having lived in the Northeast my entire life (Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and now Connecticut), I haven’t been able to help but fall in love with fall. So, for those of you dreading the end of summer, or for those of you who have never experienced a true Northeastern autumn, here are some of my favorite things about the season.

AAA reports that more people will travel this Labor Day than they have since 2008—34.1 million people will take a trip of 50 miles or more. In July 2013, as compared to July 2012, Unit Sales*, as well as Average and Median Price, were up throughout the Northeast. Westchester County, New York saw a 19.1% increase in Unit Sales, while Connecticut saw a 14% jump. Inventory and Months of Supply continue to fall across the region, with months of supply dropping to 5.4 in Massachusetts, down from 8.3 a year ago.
