What is Local Housing Data?

William Raveis provides instant access to data on the market conditions in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Westchester County, New York, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. It’s accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at no charge.

Where can I find this housing data?

It’s available through Raveis.com and can be accessed here: www.raveis.com/localhousingdata.asp‎.

How do I conduct a search?

  1. Visit our local housing data site
  2. Select a state from the dropdown menu
  3. Select a specific town
  4. Select the property type (the default is single family)
  5. Click the “Search” button
  6. Click the tabs to view different information:
  • Local Housing Statistics (charts of key market trends)
  • Local Recent Sales (list of properties sold in the past 3 months)
  • Local, County, and Statewide Summary (compares the town, county and state over the past 3 years)

Where does the information come from?

We pull data from 11 MLS’ across the Northeast.

Do you only have statewide data available?

No! You can access information on a town/city, county or statewide level.

How often do you update the data?

Raw data is updated on a constant basis as it becomes available from the MLSs. However, for the official analysis we update the site on the 10th of each month.

What types of properties can I get data for?

Single family, condominium, multi-unit and co-ops.

How can I limit the results?

You can choose to view results over a 12, 18, 24, 27, 30, 33 or 36 month period. You can also specific the price range, number of bedrooms and a square foot range.

What stats do you provide?

We include results for unit sales, average sale price, median sale price, average list price, sales to list price ratio, inventory, months of supply, market time (days), price per square foot and new listings.

What if I want to see year-to-date data?

Then you’re in luck! Our data automatically provides stats for one-month comparison, three-months ending, 12-months ending and year-to-date.

What else can I find?

In addition to the market conditions available, you can view all the recent sales information for properties in the selected area.
