Facebook ads expanding: Facebook’s autoplay video ads will now be appearing on third-party publishers. The slideshow-like carousel ads will be targeted based on what you’ve purchased on the web.
Facebook launched live-streaming, but only for famous people: The social network launched “Live”, an app that broadcasts live streaming videos from actors, musicians and athletes.
Changes to the 140 character limit: Twitter officially dropped the 140 character limit – but only for direct messages. You can now chat in a single direct message with a 10,000 character limit. Tweets will still have a 140 characters, however.
Scheduling posts: Hootsuite, a social media dashboard that is widely used, has added another channel to its platform. It now allows you to schedule Instagram posts making it easier than ever to send out posts to all of your social channels.
