It’s not every day that you get to participate in a TV commercial shoot with professional baseball players, but that’s exactly how I spent a chilly Thursday morning in May, after we announced the exciting news that we were the new official real estate company of the Boston Red Sox.
Perched above the Green Monster overlooking the tradition-steeped Fenway Park, only a few hours before the gates opened for a game against the Orioles, we filmed on-camera ads with Red Sox power pitchers Chris Sale, Brian Johnson and Rick Porcello. I was humbled by their skills on the mound – but here they were touting our services, which was truly terrific. Needless to say it was an awesome experience and we can’t wait to see these commercials air throughout the park and on New England Sports Network.
I spent some time talking with Chris Sale and Chris Resop, the head of our Raveis Sports and Entertainment division and former MLB player, about what happens when you’re traded to a new team. A new team can be exciting, but a big geographical move can be challenging. Even for the players shuttling from Boston to Fort Myers, the home of Red Sox spring training, they need a quick and easy relocation process for themselves and their families. That’s where Raveis can step in, with a seamless process from start to finish, including selling and buying a home, facilitating a mortgage and getting insurance. Forgive the baseball analogy you truly do need a team that covers all the bases.
We are excited to partner with such a great organization that shares many of the same values as the William Raveis Companies: from the commitment to the Boston-area community, to the respect we have in our relationships, to the quest for providing top-notch quality services. Since expanding to Boston 15 years ago, WRRE has brought a new perspective to the area’s real estate industry by focusing on the core values of a family business: a commitment to the community, candor and courtesy. We have partnered with some of the brightest stars of Boston real estate and offer their clients local knowledge and global reach.
Determined, dedicated and committed to success. That’s how I describe Red Sox players — and Red Sox fans. Who is more fervently loyal than a Red Sox fan? And ironically that’s exactly how I describe our WRRE community as well. We pride ourselves on holding those same qualities. And just like Red Sox fans, we expect the best every time.
