January 24, 2019 (Shelton, Conn.) — William Raveis Real Estate, Mortgage & Insurance (WRRE), the top family-owned real estate company spanning the Northeast and Florida, announces that co-presidents Chris Raveis and Ryan Raveis have been ranked the 34th most powerful and influential real estate leaders on the Swanepoel Power 200 (SP200) for 2019, moving up two spots from 2018. The annual list ranks the leaders and executives in the residential real estate brokerage industry and is published by T3 Sixty, a team of strategic, technological and managerial experts in the industry.
Chairman and CEO William Raveis founded the company 44 years ago, and his sons, Chris and Ryan were named co-presidents in 2016. Chris is responsible for the company’s residential sales business. Ryan is responsible for the company’s headquarter functions, and he also serves as President of William Raveis Mortgage. The firm’s brokerage has 135 offices throughout the Northeast and Florida — from the high-end luxury markets of Nantucket down to Naples — and more than 4,100 agents. In 2017, the company finished the year with $10.2 billion in real estate sales and more than $605 million in mortgages. They are also the only privately held firm offering mortgage and insurance services under one roof to its clients, thereby creating a seamless end-to-end customer experience.
The Power 200 list spotlights leaders, predominantly CEOs, meeting criteria including more than $3 billion in annual sales, 10,000 annual transactions or 500 agents. In addition, Swanepoel reviews and evaluates each executive and leader. Among the criteria reviewed: current office held and decision-making power; tenure in the industry; the organization’s sales volume, number of agents and clients; significance and impact in the residential real estate brokerage industry; acquisitions and initiatives led; and industry-wide activities and personal influence outside the organization. Finally, Swanepoel considers the individual(s) and company’s initiatives, planned or announced, that are realistically expected to occur in the foreseeable future.
“Once again, we are honored to be recognized in the top 20 percent of this prestigious list in the real estate industry,” said Ryan Raveis. “As a leading family-owned brokerage, it is hugely important for us to continue to be entrepreneurial and forward-thinking.”
“Our company has a 44-year-old culture of supporting our agents with innovative marketing and technology,” added Chris Raveis. “The beauty of Raveis lies well beneath the surface: We have the expertise, the experience, and the soul to continue to evolve and grow our company into the next generation.”
