Just a half-hour ferry ride from the center of Boston, Hingham, MA is a commuter’s waterfront paradise. Leaving work to head to Boston’s South Wharf and boarding a ship home is reminiscent of older Boston times. It’s got a classically American feel to it; coming home by sea. Founded in 1633 and named Bare Cove before its current moniker became permanent two years later, Hingham is 23 miles to Boston proper. For its waterfront dwellers, suburban life outside the city has some amazing perks. If you were to visit on a weekend, here’s what our locals would have you do.
We’d like to extend a warm welcome to two new executives at William Raveis, Amy Kane & Jason Wilson, both of whom join William Raveis from leadership positions with the Sotheby’s International Realty Network. Kane will serve as senior vice president of the Westchester and Lower Fairfield region, while Wilson has been appointed to vice president of William Raveis’ affiliate offices, as well as vice president, regional director of operations for William Raveis Real Estate.

The simplest, most enjoyable experiences usually have you feeling boundless. Driving around with the top down and the music blasting. A breathtaking split-second drop from the diving board. But departing a dock on a ferry bound for a perfect little island with the wind in your hair has got to be one of our favorites. Leaving mainland USA yet not straying too far from home is one of those limitless journeys that have you feeling free. Luckily, we have the best spot in mind for your next vacation, and its Nantucket, MA. We’ll even rent or sell it to you, too, as we have a William Raveis office located in the center of town on Oak Street.
