Shelton, Conn. (July 1, 2013)—Today, the William Raveis Breast Cancer Fund announced its inaugural class of partners for the newly launched Partner Program. Partner companies support the mission of the William Raveis Breast Cancer Fund by donating a portion of each sale, and in some cases other financial incentives to the Breast Cancer Fund.

Since 2004, the William Raveis Breast Cancer Research Fund has raised over $1.6 million. Funding has supported the William Raveis-ACS Patient Navigator Program at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, CT and the Patient Navigator Program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA.

William Raveis Real Estate is opening Breast Cancer Awareness month with a bang. In addition to record fundraising at the company’s annual charity golf tournament last month, William Raveis offices will be holding nearly 100 fundraising events throughout the northeast in support of the American Cancer Society Patient Navigator Program, which helps support patients through the emotional, financial and physical stress of breast cancer. FARMINGTON, CT. – The University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, CT was the scene of the recent ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly-opened William Raveis ACS Patient Navigator Program at the Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center, as a result of a landmark $750,000 pledge from the William Raveis Charitable Fund, Inc. Runowicz, M.D., director of the Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center and a past president of the American Cancer Society;

This year, the William Raveis Charitable Fund, Inc. has pledged a groundbreaking $750,000 to the University of Connecticut Health Center, establishing the WILLIAM RAVEIS ACS NAVIGATOR CARE PROGRAM. With the assistance of trained volunteers/survivors, this innovative program helps newly diagnosed breast cancer patients navigate through diagnosis and treatment. Plans for the near future will include patients with other types of cancer as well.
