Current Market Conditions: March 2016

In March 2016, as compared to March 2015, Unit Sales* rose 18.3% in Connecticut, 20.9% in New York**, 9.3% in Manhattan, 17.5% in Brooklyn, 14.6% in Rhode Island, 13.7% in Vermont and 21.6% in New Hampshire. Meanwhile, Sales to List Price rose 0.6% in Massachusetts and 1.1% in Maine.

Current Market Conditions: March 2015

In March 2015, as compared to March 2014, Unit Sales* rose 3.9% in Connecticut, 0.6% in New York**, 19.7% in Manhattan, 9.2% in Brooklyn, 5.2% in Rhode Island, 11.9% in Vermont and 4.5% in New Hampshire. Meanwhile, Sales Price rose 4.9% in Massachusetts and Sales to List Price Ratio rose 1.8% in Maine.

Current Market Conditions: December 2014

In December 2014, as compared to December 2013, Unit Sales* rose across the Northeast. Unit Sales rose 0.7% in New York**, 5.1% in Manhattan, 21.8% in Brooklyn, 1.9% in Vermont, 0.7% in New Hampshire and 8.7% in Maine. Average Sales Price was also on the rise, with prices rising 0.3% in Connecticut, 5.6% in Massachusetts and 5.6% in Rhode Island.

Current Market Conditions: June 2014

Average Sales Prices* continued to increase in most markets across the Northeast through the end of June 2014, as compared to the same period last year. Months of Supply also fell, which added to continually increasing average sales prices. Notably, prices rose 9.8 percent in Rhode Island, 7.4 percent in Massachusetts, 7.1 percent in Westchester County, New York and 5.4 percent in Connecticut.

In March 2014, as compared to March 2013, Average Sales Price* continued to rise throughout the Northeast, with prices rising 8.7% in Connecticut, 13.7% in Massachusetts, 23.1% in Cape Cod and 19.5% in Westchester County, New York. Additionally, Months of Supply fell in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Westchester County.

Start Planning Your Summer Vacation Today

I have a bit of a theme going this week: I’m dreaming, hoping and can’t-stop-thinking about Spring. And Summer. It’s been a bit of a long winter, and I’m feeling a bit of cabin-fever start to creep in. Even though the Northeast is still (in late, late March) dealing with snowstorms, freezing temperatures and abnormal wind chills, I’m holding out hope that Spring and Summer are on their way. Even if they are delayed.
