On this week’s Agent Spotlight, we talked to Rosemarie and Anthony Longo, a mother/son team from Greenwich, CT! They talk about their shared love of tough workouts and boating on the blog! Enjoy!

WR: What drew you to the real estate industry? Why? When did you begin? Why William Raveis? Be specific!
Real estate has been in our family forever. As a young child, Rosemarie grew up watching her parents buy and sell multiple commercial properties including the building that housed the legendary Davinci’s restaurant on Greenwich Avenue, now known as TD Bank. Her husband, Tony also grew up the son of parents who owned multifamily properties. Rosemarie and her husband followed in their footsteps by purchasing & developing investment real estate properties in the downtown Greenwich area. They now own 4 parcels of land which include 8 rental units. Rosemarie received her license in 2004 to better facilitate the family business and Anthony followed suit soon after. As you can see, real estate is in their blood. Upon entering the doors at William Raveis, Anthony & Rosemarie knew that they were home. “we are excited to be a part of this team and look forward to achieving our goals with an office that believes in team & offers marketing support” “Everyone at Raveis was so welcoming, from the amazing office manager to fellow agents” “We truly felt at home” The Longo’s have big plans for 2018 & are excited for what’s in their pipeline. The best part is that team Raveis is excited too!!
WR: Where did you grow up and where do you live now? With who? (People, pets?)
We are both born and raised in Greenwich, and Rosemarie lives with her husband Tony and 3 young adults, Victoria, Joseph, and Ariana and their most loved black lab Lexi. Anthony now resides in Norwalk, CT together with his wife Kim. They would love to make their way back to Greenwich someday to start a family.

WR: Name one celebrity, dead or alive, who you would like to sell a home?
Rosemarie – Jennifer Lopez. Anthony – Lebron James, hope he brings his talents to New York!
WR: Name a few things that most people don’t know about you. Get creative.
Rosemarie: I coach at Greenwich Crossfit where I get to witness fitness transformations – I hope to get Team Raveis in for a fun WOD (otherwise known as workout of the day). I was married at the age of 20, and could not legally drink at my own wedding, even though I did! Just celebrated my 30th wedding anniversary!! I was the third largest fundraiser for the 2013 Greenwich Pineapple Classic that raised $ for the leukemia/lymphoma foundation. A cause very near and dear to my heart since the loss of my dad to the disease.
Anthony:
I have successfully completed 2 Tough Mudders. I was Assistant Vice President of Trade Accounting at Freepoint Commodities and recently left to pursue Real Estate Development and Sales. I graduated Magna Cum Laude. I am an avid golf lover and have gone to the Masters 4 times.

WR: You are stranded on a deserted island for one year, you get to bring 3 things – Tell us what they are.
Anthony: Seeds to plant an apple tree and grapes, for food and wine, a tent, an iPad with a solar powered charger for communication and entertainment.
Rosemarie: A tent for protection from the elements (preferably one w a built in sleeping bag), a fishing rod to catch fish, a bucket to collect water.

WR: Most used feature on Raveis365? Most used app on your phone?
We are both new to the Raveis365 platform but we believe the email feature will be our most used. Besides email, we both would say social media apps on our phone were most frequented.
WR: is the best advice you received from your parents or loved ones?
Anthony: Balance in life is the key to success and happiness!
Rosemarie: Birds of a feather flock together, hang around with successful people and you will be successful.

WR: If you weren’t in real estate, what would be your dream job?
Anthony: I am always interested in technical analysis trading and like to learn about investment opportunities.
Rosemarie: I would own a gym, I love watching people change their lives for the better.
WR: What are your favorite local activities that you participate in? How do you engage with your community?
Both: Boating! We love going out on our family boat with family and friends, definitely our favorite pass time in the warm months!
Anthony: I enjoy going to the local gym Edge Greenwich and supporting Greenwich High School football as all my siblings have been a part of the organization
Rosemarie: As a coach & member at Greenwich Crossfit, our gym is very good about community outreach & offering challenges throughout the year. I have participated in annual competitions as well as been part of fundraising for purposes near to our members. We had fun getting in the holiday spirit & being part of the Jingle Bell Jog. As a Mom of four Greenwich High School graduates, I have been lucky enough to be a big part of Greenwich Sports & have had many opportunities to volunteer. I still find myself making my way to a local game to cheer on the Cardinals.
WR: Fill in the blank: Your day cannot begin without _____?
Rosemarie: Smoothie, Almond milk latte, and the workout of the day.
Anthony: Breakfast, vitamins, and some good music!
