Virtual Tools At Work

We are so proud of the expansive suite of virtual tools that we offer our agents. Virtual business in real estate, a nascent but growing technology pre-pandemic, has rapidly gained traction during lockdown. Luckily, our agents at William Raveis were already well-versed in the art of virtual business, thanks to our complex suite of tools, technology and training. Skyslope is a great example of one of our virtual tools, making business transactions completely paperless and virtual using smart devices. From the William Raveis Open House App to Raveis365 to HomeSpotter, we are revolutionizing the way agents conduct business. Our agents took advantage of these innovative tools that were provided to them to capture more buyers and generate more leads for future deals.

We are particularly proud of a specific deal that just occurred last month, completely virtually, and under the direction and teamwork of two William Raveis agents, on the buy and sell sides of the transaction.

Michelle Genovesi, team leader of Michelle & Company Homes, a continued success at William Raveis, had the privilege of listing her longtime client’s home on Pequot Avenue in Southport, Connecticut. “Their custom-built waterfront dream home has every attention to detail and thoughtfulness,” Michelle said. “They used the trifecta of craftsman: renowned Architect Mark Finlay, Hobbs Builders and Landscape Architects, Doyle Herman Design Associates. From the beginning, I knew this would require a detailed set of tools for marketing and that Raveis could provide all of that to my clients and my team.”

Considered the most significant new custom waterfront estate on New England’s coastline, The Nest was skillfully and artfully designed to capture sweeping, ever-changing water views and the pure serenity of its setting. Just a short walk from Southport Village, you’re embraced by a sense of calm and transported to a quieter time from the moment you arrive at the gated entry. Architectural landscaping melds to the spectacular backdrop and an allée of historic trees leads to the majestic home on over three private acres at the edge of Long Island Sound. Beneath soaring ceilings, thoughtfully planned living spaces invite natural beauty and sunlight into every room. Gracious European elegance is tempered by clean Scandinavian minimalism and natural California style to create a custom paradise.

Michelle writes, “Southport is a very special place in Connecticut, a historic waterfront village, however, I needed to sell the lifestyle represented at Pequot, not just the town. Sometimes, the waterfront buyer is not necessary town specific. We needed to get beyond search engines that are town specific, of which all websites are. With the help of the tools at William Raveis, the brochures we created were digital magazines that have the ‘Architectural Digest’ feel and our goal was to sell the value of the lifestyle through photos and copy. We use these magazines to get in front of the agent and the buyers. My database is well over 10,000 with realtors from Connecticut to New York City, across to nationally and Europe.”
Michelle explains that her clients had three offers, one from NYC, one local and another where the purchaser was from London, who knew the area as they used to live in Fairfield County. She writes, “We used all of the marketing tools that our Luxury Properties Division at William Raveis provides to us, which was extremely vast and helpful. In the end, my clients chose the offer that was best for them, and luckily for us, that buyer was represented by Jackie Davis, my longtime colleague and friend at Raveis. We have a mutual respect and trust in each other and we both know we are committed to do the right thing by our clients. It’s always nice to feel you are working with another realtor that has always represented amazing work ethics of honesty, integrity and hard work.”
Jackie Davis, team leader of Jackie Davis & Company team at William Raveis, had nothing but the same respect for Michelle when she spoke of their interactions on this deal. “When I first got into real estate eight years ago, I heard of Michelle as this iconic business person who was a true professional and it was a beautiful privilege to be able to work with her here.” Jackie explained that her client, the potential buyer, had his eye on this home as it was being built. “I sent my client, who lives overseas, the professional brochures that Michelle and the team at William Raveis created, and with the combination of that, and virtual tours, we presented his winning offer and he bought it sight unseen. I’m so happy that my client got the home of his dreams.”
A completely virtual deal, performed with the tools that William Raveis provides. We are proud to empower our agents to continue to conduct business as usual during the pandemic and beyond, for the seamless convenience it provides!
